Who we are

This website is run by Tom Burns, trading as Thomas Burns Plastering Services, 44 St Ladoc Road, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2EQ. If you have any questions about your information, email [email protected] or call 0787 200 3 200.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number and message. The form sends these to us by email; they are not stored in a database on the website.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and invoice the work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows. Records related to paid work are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes (normally six years). You can ask us to delete an enquiry that did not lead to any work at any time.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or share your details. Our website host and email provider process the data on our behalf so that the site and email can work. The website is served through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and may briefly process technical information such as your IP address to do so.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is being sent by a person rather than a spam bot. To do this, Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser and device, such as your IP address. It is not used for advertising or to track you across websites. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum for details.

Like all web servers, ours keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
